Program Information

The Aqua Aerobics Program has been designed for participants of all ages as a pathway to natural fitness and overall wellbeing. This program offers several levels of Aqua Aerobics such as deep water, shallow water or a combination of both. All classes are conducted by specialist instructors qualified in all facets of Aqua Aerobics. They will ensure you a good workout in a fun environment. All programs are good opportunities to keep fit and healthy and to meet new friends.

Deep Water Aqua

The emphasis with our deep water program is to promote core stabilisation and posture control without weight bearing exercises which will improve each participants general level of fitness. The class is performed in our heated dive pool and all participants are supported with buoyancy belts. No formal swimming skills are necessary. Make the class work for you.

Shallow Water Aqua

Our shallow water program caters for all ages and suits a broad range of ability levels.

Equipment

The Kawana Aquatic Centre will offer you the equipment for the ‘Aqua Aerobics Program’ such as weights, noodles and kickboards.

We require you to bring your own equipment to each session, including:

• Hat 
• Drink Bottle
• Towel

General Aquatic Centre Information

• The program will operate throughout the year including school vacation periods.

• Sessions are conducted in our heated indoor and outdoor pools. 

• Programs staff must be notified of any medical conditions that may affect you during a session.

• The Kawana Aquatic Centre offers also ‘learn to swim classes'.

Fees

Each lesson takes 60 minutes. The cost is $10.00 per lesson for Adults & Seniors is $9.00
