Kawana Aquatic Centre (KAC) opened in 1993 due in response to increased demands from the community for sports and recreational facilities.
The Quad Park Corporation took over the management of the KAC in May 2006. The KAC facilities will play a significant role in the development of the precinct as a major regional sports centre. The KAC is the largest aquatic Sport and Recreation centre on the Sunshine Coast comprising:
Quad Park has plans to develop the facility in accordance with the growing demand for aquatic and recreational needs on the Sunshine Coast. Quad Park offers a broad range of aquatic sport and recreational programs at the KAC including:
Our swim school caters for all levels, starting from babies from six months of age. Classes operate Monday to Saturday. To enquire about the program please visit the Swim School or alternatively phone before 12.00pm or after 3.00pm from Monday to Friday.

- 25 meter 6 lane heated program pool
- 15 meter heated dive pool with 3m dive board & 1m dive board with underwater viewing chamber
- Enclosed heated 17 meter learners pool with disabilities lift with air-conditioned viewing room
- Leisure pool (fully fenced)
- 10 meter heated pool
- Skate park (under shade)
- BBQ facilities
- Café & Retail shop
- Undercover deck
- Easy access with ample parking

- Learn to swim for all ages;
- The Kawana Aquatics Club;
- High Performance squad programs for athletes aspiring to be competitive in high level competition in swimming, surf sports, triathlon, diving and water polo;
- Development programs for aspiring junior athletes in surf sports, triathlon, spring board diving and water polo;
- Talent search programs in all aquatic sports;
- Come n try days in all aquatic sports and recreational activities;
- Stroke development and fitness programs for all age groups who enjoy swimming as part of their personal fitness training routine;
- Aqua aerobics;
- Scuba diving;
- Birthday parties, special events and holiday programs.
