The Sunshine Coast’s premier sport, leisure and entertainment precinct will continue to be called Stockland Park, after the renewal of the sponsorship agreement between Stockland and Quad Park Corporation.

Quad Park Corporation, which manages the precinct, today announced a three-year sponsorship extension that includes Sunshine Coast Stadium being renamed Stockland Stadium Sunshine Coast.

Acting General Manager of Stockland Park, Simon Ball, said the deal, along with the continuing support of the Sunshine Coast Council, benefited all of the more than 5000 weekly users of the precinct as well as the Sunshine Coast Community.

“We are delighted to have reached an agreement with Stockland to continue their sponsorship of the Stockland Park precinct and expand it to include the Stockland Stadium Sunshine Coast,” Mr Ball said.

“Our existing relationship with Stockland goes back three years so I’m delighted that it will now continue, helping us to provide the outstanding facilities and high-quality services Coast residents and visitors have come to expect.

“We are looking forward to continuing our relationship with Stockland and developing the facilities, further linking Stockland Park with Kawana Town Centre and Bokarina Beach development.

“Stockland along with the Sunshine Coast Council, which owns Quad Park Corporation, will be an integral part of the continuing development of Stockland Stadium Sunshine Coast over the next 3 years.”

The Stockland Park precinct is a sports hub comprised of Stockland Stadium Sunshine Coast, Kawana Aquatic Centre, Lake Kawana and the Western Precinct. The Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles, Sunshine Coast Fire and Sunshine Coast Stingrays are three of the teams that call Stockland Park home.

More than 50 user groups are based at Stockland Park, in addition to the many schools and visiting organisations that use the Sunshine Coast’s finest integrated regional sports complex.

Stockland Stadium Sunshine Coast is a regional venue boasting National standard playing facilities, 1050-seat grandstand featuring air-conditioned player and coaching areas, medical and anti-doping facilities and extensive catering and corporate hospitality facilities.

The stadium’s design incorporates sustainable features such as a 30kW commercial solar power system, water recycling and solar performance glass.

Stockland’s Sunshine Coast Regional Manager, Troy Wainwright, said that Stockland was committed to supporting healthy lifestyles across the Sunshine Coast.
